Mindy Udall

1. Where are you living right now? Chandler, AZ

2. Are you married? If so, who did you marry? Nope, still looking for Mr. Right!

3. Do you have any kids? If so, names and ages. None and no pets either.

4. Do you have a college degree? From where and in what? ASU, Bachelors in Secondary Education (History and Biology) and NAU, Masters Degree in Elementary Education.

5. What do you do for a living? I work for my brother Trace (he is a financial planner) and left teaching indefinitely. I also have a side gig in planning reunions. :-)

6. How many places have you lived since graduation? Name them. I stayed in AZ but have lived in Mesa, Tempe and Chandler, AZ.

7. Briefly summarize any other major events that have happened in your life since graduation. Traveled quite a bit (need to visit Australia and Antarctica to hit all 7 continents) and got my National Board Certification in 2005.

8. What is your favorite memory of high school? PROM, Homecoming activities during lunch, Citizen Bee competitions, Academic Decathlon study sessions, hanging out with my friends. So many to choose from.

9. What are some of your favorite songs from high school? Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison and Heaven on Earth by Belinda Carlisle.

10. Who is the teacher/class you remember most from high school? My mom’s Democracy class Senior year, Aunt Risa’s English and Academic Decathlon class, Aunt Lee’s typing class and Mr. Hansen’s Biology III class where we dissected a lot of specimens.

11. If you could go back, what would you change about your high school years? Nothing, I enjoyed my experience and have no regrets.

12. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? Hopefully working in a different country and traveling much more and married.

13. What is one accomplishment since high school that you are proud of? Participating in Academic Decathlon and Citizen Bee.

14. What is one piece of advice you would give a future graduate of SJHS? Join and participate in as many activities as possible.

15. Anything else you want to say to your former classmates? Hope to see all of you at the reunion. Stay in touch!
